WWII, Mental Health, and Pacifists
I've been trying to get some freelance writing work and recently was invited to write for the website Obscure Histories. It's been a great experience and the site is passionate about creating "content about little known people, place, things, and ideas, with a priority on stories about people from marginalized communities."
My article Conscientious Objectors’ Fight to Transform the Mental Health System is now live on the Obscure Histories site.
But, before you go on to read it, do me two favors:
First, take a second to sign up for email updates from The Bully Beard. Just click the link at the top of this page or go here.
Second, when you get to Obscure Histories take a moment to subscribe to their newsletter. Besides producing great history pieces, they also have an educational arm called OH Jr. that, "produces learning materials for students 5th grade and up to write and produce their own history documentaries." As a small startup non-profit, they'd love to have your support.
Thanks for taking the time to read through the article. Please share it with others and, as always, I would love to hear your thoughts.
