First Mennonite New Bremen - Lent - 2009 A group of the youth at First Mennonite helped me put together a video series for Lent in 2009. They did a great job!	New Bremen Youth Group Vlogs While youth pastor at New Bremen Mennonite I did a very sporadic vlog.	Nevin Birth Announcement We never really lived near family so I made birth announcements for each kid.
Ella Birth Announcement We never really lived near family so I made birth announcements for each kid.	Zane Birth Announcement We've never really lived by family so I did video birth announcements for each kid.	Pizza Man Please Knock When I was a youth pastor in Virginia some of the guys in the youth group wanted to make a film. So mix together indy film, Lord of the Rings, puppets, and action sequences and you get Pizza Man Please Knock!
The Relics! Yes, I went to seminary and yes, while I was there I helped produce a musical for a final exam project. What, that's not normal?	The Reformers! As I mentioned elsewhere I went to seminary and created a musical. Nothing weird about that. Well, did I mention that it has a sequel?!?

Beyond the News: Facing Death One of many video projects that I worked on as an employee of Mennonite Media. This one actually won a Silver Telly Award.	WHSV TV3 Promotions Roll I worked at WHSV TV3 in Harrisonburg, VA for over a year in the Promotions Department. Learned a lot and made quite a few spots. Here is my entire roll from that time period.	First LAFSC Movie Yep...went to a rinky-dink film school in LA. Los Angeles Films Studies Center in downtown Burbank, CA. Had a great time shooting on 8mm film (that was as good as it got then).
Lifetime Love for Llama Liberation At film school one of the assignments was to make a PSA. What better cause to pitch for then "Lifetime Love for Llama Liberation".	Iron Apron - The Rockumentary! Final project for film school was a hard hitting rockumentary on the band Iron Apron!	Eastern Mennonite University "Official" Promo Video Back in 1995, my alma mater Eastern Mennonite University, decided to make a promotional video for the school. We thought for sure they would ask those of us in the theater and proto-communications department to help out with it. But no, an outside company was hired and we felt like we got the shaft. So, in protest we created the crappiest promo video we could and had a midnight showing of it on campus.
Sojourn So in every career your gonna make some bad art. And I've made plenty. This is a senior film project where I tried to do a drama. I don't do dramas.....thus Sojourn is a bit stiff in the script and long in the shots....and boring. The cast and crew were great and they worked with the material they had.	Housing Options at Eastern Mennonite University My college let me keep making videos for the housing department. This one had to be about circa 1996.	A scene from the play K2 This scene from the play K2 was one that I directed in my junior year of college 95'-96'.
Alternative Housing at Eastern Mennonite University Back in 1994 my alma mater, Eastern Mennonite University agreed to let me create some videos for the housing department.	Financial Aid and You - Eastern Mennonite University First housing videos for my college then worked my way up the food chain to doing videos for the Financial Aid Department. This one's pretty boring....so much info to pass on. I think we ran out of creative juice.	RA Video Recruitment Video for Eastern Mennonite University This is an oldy but a moldy. My first video for the housing department at Eastern Mennonite University back in 1994.
I'm the One I just wanted to make videos as a kid. My parents had 8mm Cannon and a shaky tripod and I had this giant Paul Detlefsen's print in my room. I was 16 and The Who was my favorite band. Putting those all together I experimented with close-ups and macros to make this.	There is No Good in Real Life, but this isn't so don't worry about it Three friends and a video camera on what started out as a boring Saturday afternoon. What happens next is...interesting.	David Letterhead Show What kid in the 90's didn't love David Letterman. Mimicry is the highest form of a complement, right? Some friends and I did our best to parody his show. Written and directed by yours truly - but the memories are in the making and the friends you did it with.
Young Scientist As young videographers and creators we were keeping up on the times with cutting edge reporting about the Hubble Space Telescope. It launched in 1990, the year this video was made. Some great shots from Hubble of the moon in this one.

1980s

The Rodents An oldie for the late 80's. I remember writing the script (if you can call it that) in church on Sunday morning. That afternoon we taped it. It was the height of the Satanic Panic so of course we were all listening to solid Christian rock band Petra. Sorry for the audio drop out, the VHS tape didn't hold up very well.	This Old House This was the very first video I ever made. Circa late 80's. My family was one of the first I knew with a camcorder, a 1988 Canovision 8! I remember having so much fun making this. The best parts are my sister acting like a total freak, the soap commercial and me trying to say polyurethane.
